Main Deity Names: Lord Mangaleeshwarar and Goddess Mangalambigai.
Temple History: This temple is unique because it houses the shrine of Mangalya Maharishi. Legend says this sage was born under the Uthiram star and is the authority who blesses the Mangalyam (sacred thread) of all divine weddings. He is believed to be the guru of the angels who bless marriages.
Speciality: Extremely famous for those born under the Uthiram Nakshathiram. It is believed that even if marriages are delayed for years, a visit here fixes them instantly.
Rituals: Devotees bring their horoscopes and place them at the feet of Mangalya Maharishi.
Parikaram & How to do: Offer a garland to the Maharishi and perform a special Archana. It is a tradition to bring the first wedding invitation card here and place it at the sage's feet before the wedding.
Note: Devotees are advised to bring all materials related to pooja from the city itself, as shops may not be available near the temple area.
